Xieta International, S.L.’s tabular alumina is an excellent material made from pure sintered alpha alumina. Using a temperature above 1,900 degrees Celsius and without the use of sintering additives, a highly pure and fully densified product is obtained through a rapid sintering process.
Xieta International, S.L.’s tabular alumina is characterized by large, well-developed hexagonal tablet-shaped alpha alumina crystals, reaching up to 200 μm in length. It features extremely high refractoriness, high mechanical strength, excellent abrasion resistance, very high chemical purity, outstanding dielectric properties, and strong resistance to both acidic and alkaline corrosion.
Xieta International, S.L.’s tabular alumina is used across a wide range of industries, including steel, foundry, petrochemical, ceramics, and incineration. Other common applications include its use in electrical insulators, kiln furniture, and more.
Tabular alumina is mainly used in the refractory materials industry (monolithic and castable materials) due to its excellent properties, such as stable chemical characteristics, good thermal shock resistance, erosion resistance, and high mechanical strength.
