On last July, 15th and 16th, Hans participated at the World Cup with the Holland team. This edition took place in Bilbao (Spain) and it was the last race before the Paralympic Games . Almost all world champions were there.
Hans finished the time trial with an excellent result getting an average speed of 34,5 Km/h. He told us that it was a 21.2 km. long race, with a lot of curves. Hans finished very happy, wind goal coming 18th.
Saturday with a temperature of 30ºC, it promises to be a touch race with 8 laps in a total of 60 Km. with 10% slopes and 100 metres long rises which requires the maximum effort from the cyclists.
Hans told us that although sometimes it seemed that he failed the forces, the fighting spirit that characterizes him push him to finish the race just 1 lap before the leading group. Finishing at 26th position it has exceeding his own expectations and it was a great improvement comparing with same last year race.
Very happy with the results achieved which encourage him to move forward, improving day after days. It was an unforgettable day for our friend Hans.
Hans remains an example of both perseverance and effort for all of us. We are proud to be partakers of his sport career.
