Last race in Bardonecchia. On July 30th and 31st held in Italy (Bardonecchia) the last scoring race of the EHC.
To achieve his goal for this season (to be among the Top 10), the result of this last race were essential.
Competitor would be very hard: 27 competitors in the same category.
Expectation due to this last race of the season can be feeling atmosphere, and many spectators came to the race to support the participants in this important event.
The circuit was prepared for both time trail and road race, with 3,3 Km. each lap being 1 Km. of them with 8% inclination; 4 laps for the time trial and 10 for the road race.
Very taught race and even with very high temperatures.
Our friend Hans reached the end of the time trial at 14th position and at 17th position in the road race. An output of the track during the descent makes Hans to lose time, going back some positions, without any possibility to recover them.
In spite of such small mishap, Hans got enough points to finishing in TENTH POSITION AT THE EHC 2016 GENERAL CLASSIFICATION.
Bravo, Hans. More than ever, this current year Hans continues being an example of perseverance and effort for all of us. We are really proud to participates in his sportive career.
