TECNARGILLA 2018
Xieta International was present again, as usual in each of its editions since 2004, at the 26th edition of Tecnargilla fair that was held in Rimini from September 24th to 28th.
Generally speaking, Tecnargilla is the world’s most important trade fair for suppliers of the ceramic and brick industries and is held every two years in the touristic city of Emilia-Romagna. Moreover, if we take into account the information offered by Acimac (organizer of the event), the fair has received multiple visitors coming from more than 100 countries that have been interested in the lasts technological and aesthetic innovations exposed by more than 400 exhibiting companies.
The last scoring race for the 2018 European Handbike Competition (EHC)
On October 7th, in a rainy San Remo in northern Italy, the last scoring race for the 2018 European Handbike Competition (EHC) took place.
The bad conditions and danger of the urban circuit; rain, puddles … Hans took no risks in the corners and finishing the race in the 15th place out of the 25 participants in his category. Prudence is a great virtue, if what is at stake is the physical integrity of athletes.
Lugano riverside circuit in Switzerland – European Handbike competition (EHC)
On last September 23rd Hans participates at the race which took place in Lugano riverside, in Switzerland. Beautiful places that host this competition every year. This test is one more of the points for the European Handbike competition (EHC).
JULY, 14 – CHESTE
On July 14 a new Handbike competition was held in Cheste, with the participation of our friend Hans. One hour and fifteen minutes of a race under a scorching sun.
Hans tells us that the experience of running in a circuit, despite the high temperatures, “is amazing”.
He fought for the 3rd place but the youth of his competitors prevailed and finished in 5th position.
CERAMICS EXPO 2018
From May 1st till 3rd, Xieta International was present at the Ceramics Expo (Cleveland, USA), as it has been usual in each of its summons since it began in 2014.
This is a very special event within the exhibition circuit of the technical ceramic sector in which we are present, since it has been the gateway for our products in the United States and Canada market. In fact, in the edition of the previous year, we started a collaboration, that has allowed us to close a final agreement, with Carbo Ceramics Inc. in order to be exclusive distributors of alumina grinding media of Xieta International, S.L. for USA and Canada.
European Handbike Circuit – Louny (Czech Republic)
One more year Hans Van Der Heijden participated in the race that was held at the European Handbike Circuit in the town of Louny in the Czech Republic.
The weather forecast for this event is usually rainy, which makes the race difficult but in this edition the temperatures were high and without wind.
The personal challenge of Hans for this race was to reduce the 28 min in the 16 km time trial (his time in the last edition was 28 min 38 sec.) and he did it, scoring 26 min and 53 sec. So once again, we congratulate Hans for his achievement and evolution.
CERAMITEC 2018
From the 10th to the 13th of April, Xieta International had presence at the Ceramitec fair (Munich), as usual in each editions. European Handbike Circuit (EHC) – ROSENAU – FRANCE
The first race of the EHC season is always the Rosenau in France during Easter.
The route of this competition has virtually no difference in level, being the first of the year, these 44 km of distance to drive, it marks the shape of the runners after the winter training.
Motorland winter edition 2018 Alcañiz.
On Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st, the first race of 2018 HANDBIKE season was held in Alcaniz, a touch race which test the resistance of the bikers. The strong win against and the climbs of the route, make this course as one of more complicated race of the season.
CEVISAMA 2018 EDITION
Xieta International was present at the Cevisama fair that was held in Valencia from February 5 to 9, 2018, showing their products. In this year edition, as a great novelty, we decided to place our stand in the machinery pavilion that is open to the public only every two years. Xieta International is a member of the ASEBEC (Spanish Association of Machinery and Equipment of the Ceramic Industry) and with most of its partners we share a multitude of synergies that this year we decided to take advantage of by sharing the same space at the fair.
