Last week end Hans participated in a points race for the “Spain Cup” championship in Puertollano.
The time trial on Saturday, was marked by the rain, with the wet race track with both closed curves and descent were dangerous for the drivers, and the record times were affected for such circumstances, but Hans still made the 5th better time.
Sunday dawned with a great weather, so promising race will allow to all drivers to do their best. The competition in the track was fierce and Hans beat the driver who got, at the time trial, the 4th best timing.
In this race, Hans fought side by side till the last lap against the 2013 champion of Spain fighting for the 4th place. At the moment to pass lapped drivers and slower advancing ones was crucial, and last 30 meters distance was impossible to recover, and opted luck to his opponent, anyhow Hans is very happy with the results due to this is a 1 Km. long climb with a pendent between 3 – 4%, and that during 1 hours and 15 minutes (15 laps, which was really hard. His average speed was 28 Km/h, quite good for this specific circuit.
All above mentioned details teach us the magnificent Hans evolution: The top three classifieds are between the top 10 in the World.
Even more, it is more impressive to see that Hans pass lapped drivers till four times, including drivers that last year were ahead of him, at the competition.
The next Handbike meeting will take place in Puerta Lumbreras (Murcia), on May 9 & 10, for the Spain Cup scoring race, as well, and where Hans will defend the current 4th place at overall classification.
