Hans told us after the race:
“It was my dream since I had the accident that left me in a wheelchair. And four years ago, the week that I was out of the hospital, I went to look the participants of this Criterium, without even my own Handbike yet. I never thought that one day, I could be the winner of the first group
The second group is the fastest one, like Vicente Arzo, winner of the silver medal in the Paralympics and Hans’ close friend now.
With an average speed of nearly 33 km / h in this race, a 4 laps !!! advantage over the second placed and a top speed of 39 Km / h on its odometer, Hans has a good basis to face his winter training and competitions.
His next apointment : « La invernal » of Alcañiz in January 2015, a very very hard race.
